Reichert will lead the curatorial team, building on the momentum of critically acclaimed, timely exhibitions at the Weisman in recent years. She will work with the museum’s leadership to develop and refine its collection and help define its curatorial vision and philosophy.
Previously, Reichert served as the inaugural Curator of Contemporary Art at the Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University. An established curator, writer, critic, and editor, she was formerly Art Editor of Newcity and Assistant Curator at the Block Museum of Art, Northwestern University. She received an Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers grant in 2025.
“I have long admired the museum’s thoughtful, forward-looking artistic program and its dedication to the diverse communities of Minneapolis and beyond,” says Reichert. “It takes true courage for a museum to commit to the values of empathy and justice in these times. I am proud to begin working toward fulfilling this mission.”
