Yvette Mutumba and Julia Grosse awarded European Cultural Manager of 2020
Yvette Mutumba and Julia Grosse, were presented with “European Cultural Manager of the Year” award for 2020. Indeed, for this 15th European Cultural Brand Awards, these two theoreticians and active culture actors were selected on the criteria such as an exemplary creative will. Their work is characterized by inventiveness, networking, new approaches to cultural mediation, but also by very important sustainability in management. Julia Grosse and Dr. Yvette Mutumba are Founders and Artistic Directors of the multimedia platform Contemporary And (C&). This art magazine is also a dynamic space for issues and information on contemporary art from Africa and its Global Diaspora.
Yvette Mutumba is a lecturer at the Institute of Art in Context, University of Arts, Berlin, and is Curator-at-Large at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.
Julia Grosse is an art historian, journalist, and lecturer at the Institute for Art in Context at the University of the Arts in Berlin.
