Job Summary
The Education Curator plays a crucial role in QUAD’s mission to make art accessible to all. This position leads initiatives to break down barriers in arts education. The Curator collaborates with schools and other educational institutions, developing programs to foster creative skills across all ages and backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive Education and Learning program for various age groups.
- Curate activities for young people aged 7-25, aligned with QUAD’s art and cinema programs.
- Organize educational visits and participate in national school film festivals.
- Oversee the School in Residence program, enhancing creative curriculum opportunities.
- Manage part-time roles including Schools in Residence Producer and BFI Film Academy Producer.
- Handle the Education and Learning program budget and maintain relationships with key partners.
- Ensure compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act and the Equality Act.
- Create innovative resources for families and teachers.
- Handle correspondence and contracts for artists in the Education and Learning Program.
- Lead on safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the Education and Learning program.
- Seek funding and grants to support the program.
- Represent QUAD at various events and meetings.
