Award Overview
GOMA Gallery’s Emerging Curator Award provides a platform for emerging curators to engage with contemporary visual arts. The selected curator will be responsible for organizing a month-long exhibition at GOMA, collaborating with the gallery team to manage all aspects, from artist selection to logistics and public engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop an exhibition featuring selected artists, leveraging both existing and new networks.
- Coordinate logistics, including budgeting and scheduling, with support from the GOMA team.
- Compile marketing materials and organize at least one public event or workshop with a focus on inclusive engagement.
Support Provided
- €2,500 curatorial fee
- Exhibition space and support for a month-long exhibition starting in March 2025
- PR, marketing, and administrative assistance
- Help with invite design, promo materials, and technical setup
- Curatorial guidance from the GOMA team
- A public dialogue event tailored to the exhibition
