Grant Overview
Teiger Foundation offers grants for US-based, curator-led initiatives in contemporary visual art, including group exhibitions, single-artist surveys, community art projects, digital and live performance, and other innovative curatorial formats. Funding supports curatorial growth, idea exchange, and collaborative approaches to contemporary art.
Grant Categories
- Up to $150,000: Single projects for curators at organizations of all sizes.
- Up to $150,000: Three-year programming for organizations with annual budgets under $3.5 million.
- Up to $75,000: Hosting of traveling exhibitions.
- Up to $50,000: Curatorial research and development in early project stages.
Eligibility
Only 501(c)(3) institutions in the US and its territories are eligible. Projects unaffiliated with a 501(c)(3), those by individual artists, endowments, capital campaigns, and those unrelated to contemporary art are not eligible.
Selection Process
A rotating jury of arts professionals, including past grantees, assists in the selection process, representing a broad range of expertise.
