Tate is looking to appoint to the new role of Art Handling Manager. The Art Handling Manager is responsible for the operational planning, management and development of Art Handling resources which support the installation, handling, movement and storage of art in Tate’s care.
The post holder leads and directs the work of the Art Handling teams and manages the day to day operations of the Tate store sites in Millbank, Southwark (London) and Dean Hill (Wiltshire) as well as supporting the Head of Collection Management in the strategic planning, leadership and management of the department.
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in managing either an Art Handling team or a large and complex operation including the logistical, legal, practical and technical aspects of this. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and understand the requirements of an inclusive culture with experience in leading high performing teams through change.
