The Klassik Stiftung Weimar is a non-profit public foundation and one of the most prominent cultural institutions in Germany, focusing on Weimar Classicism, its impact on 19th-century art and culture, and modern movements such as Friedrich Nietzsche and the Bauhaus. The collections are managed at the Duchess Anna Amalia Library, the Goethe and Schiller Archives, museums, as well as historical buildings and gardens.
Position
Scientific Volunteering (Code: 03/2025)
Start Date: May 1, 2025
Duration: 2 years
Full-time: ½ E 13 TV-L
Tasks
- Assist in planning, preparing, and organizing scientific events and cultural outreach formats (colloquia, debates, conferences, lecture series).
- Contribute to the development of new research projects in collaboration with universities and cultural institutions.
- Help with the editing of scientific publications.
- Support the coordination of international fellows and guest researchers.
Requirements
- Degree in humanities or social sciences (MA, state exam, or PhD), preferably with a focus on literature, philosophy, history, or art.
- Extensive cultural-historical knowledge from 1750 to the 20th century.
- Interest in current cultural and political discourses.
- Familiarity with relevant funding programs in research and education.
- Organizational skills and strong communication abilities.
- Strong foreign language skills are desirable.
