Residency Details: The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation invites researchers, scholars, and creatives from diverse fields to apply for its prestigious Archives Research Residency. Participants will gain access to an extensive archive that documents Robert Rauschenberg’s life, art, and collaborations. The program is open to both U.S. and international applicants, aiming to support those facing financial barriers to conducting on-site archival research.
Funding:
- Weekly stipend: $1,500
- Additional housing supplement for residents located 50+ miles from NYC: $2,100 per week
- Travel expenses (airfare or train) covered by the foundation.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be at the graduate level or demonstrate equivalent expertise.
- Open to independent researchers and professionals from various disciplines.
- Priority given to projects addressing underrepresented topics or requiring significant travel distance.
