ARioT is an established strand of MK Gallery’s Public Programmes funded by Children in Need now in its 5 th year of delivery. The programme supports young people aged between 14 and 18 to explore their creative potential and new ways of thinking whilst building their confidence. As well as being a creative experience the project provides a safe space for vulnerable young people to talk, share, and listen, supporting them to overcome personal challenges.
ARioT sessions take place after school during term time, and during school holidays. The Project Manager acts as a facilitator for all ARioT sessions.
They will work closely with the Public Programmes team to create a framework the programme for summer 2023 (June to September) and take the lead on delivery of the summer programme. The summer programme will include 8 contact days working with the young people either on site at MK Gallery or off-site as part of arranged trips to other arts venues or artist studios.
They will support the group to develop ownership of the creative process and project outcomes; and to identify the ideas and projects they would like to develop and the artists they would like to work with.
