The Association for Art History, in partnership with the Ampersand Foundation, is calling for applications for its art history residency of up to four months from October 2022 to January 2023.
The residency, now in its second year, is intended to give a mid-career researcher the opportunity to spend focused time on their research/writing in a house in the Derbyshire countryside.
The residency is available to Association for Art History members and will be awarded on the basis of a competitive application process for a residency to take place the following year. The recipient will be expected to give a talk on their work at the University of Nottingham in the term following the residency.
This residency will enable the recipient to further their work in a quiet setting in a well-appointed, two-bedroom house with all household costs covered, maintenance and cleaning provided and with a £1,000 per month stipend.
Contact: please send enquiries and applications with ‘art history residency’ in the subject line to: info@forarthistory.org.uk. The application form is here.
