The Royal Academy of Arts is seeking an Art Sales Curator to lead the curation and delivery of Art Sales displays, both on site and online. The role involves working directly with Royal Academicians and invited artists to drive revenue, enhance the RA’s reputation for contemporary art, and support its charitable mission.
Eligibility Criteria
- Proven experience curating contemporary art exhibitions with a commercial focus in galleries or art sales environments
- Strong commercial and curatorial judgment balancing artistic vision with revenue generation
- Excellent artist liaison and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of pricing, production methods, collector behaviour, and sales strategies
Responsibilities
- Curate and manage Art Sales displays on site and online
- Build and maintain strong relationships with artists and stakeholders
- Contribute to the RA’s goal of promoting contemporary art and engaging audiences
- Support a safe, inclusive, and positive workplace environment through active participation in training and employee networks
