The Royal Standard (TRS) is on the lookout for dynamic Artist Leads to embark on a new phase of growth. This opportunity is perfect for artists, curators, and art professionals who are early in their careers and eager to develop personally and professionally while contributing to Liverpool’s vibrant cultural scene.
ABOUT TRS
Established in 2006, TRS has become a cornerstone in the regional art scene, recognized both nationally and internationally. The studio and gallery boast a community of over 40 artists, supported by a dedicated team of 4-6 Artist Leads. These volunteers manage daily operations and play a crucial role in shaping TRS’s future.
THE ROLE
Artist Leads are integral to our operations, handling everything from programme planning to studio management. Key responsibilities include:
- Programme Planning and Operations: Orchestrating a diverse range of exhibitions and events, from conceptualization to execution.
- Marketing and Communications: Enhancing TRS’s brand and ensuring our studios and exhibitions attract a wide audience.
- Studio Management: Fostering a vibrant artist community and ensuring smooth operational management.
- Fundraising and Development: Identifying opportunities for growth and expanding our network both locally and internationally.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Ideal candidates should have a passion for contemporary art, at least 3 years of work experience, and skills in event planning, creative problem-solving, and communication. A commitment to Liverpool’s art scene and experience in fundraising are also desirable. We value diversity and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
