Job Description
Job Title: Artist Liaison and Exhibitions Associate
Contract: Fixed-Term Maternity Cover
Hours: 10am – 6pm Monday – Friday; at least one additional Saturday per month plus flexibility during installation and art fairs
Salary: Dependent on experience and knowledge

Purpose of Role: Assist the Partners and Artist Liaison team with projects, exhibitions, and publications.
Main Duties
Artist Liaison Assistance:
- Create curatorial and artwork presentations, proposal documents, and proofread with attention to detail.
- Conduct research and write short texts on artworks.
- Track artist commission statements and payments.
- Liaise with studios and archives on photography, maintain artist archives and records.
- Work with the Operations team on logistical and technical requirements for artworks, installations, etc.
- Ensure timely communication of artist activities with the press and communications team.
- Assist with travel, accommodation, and restaurant bookings.
Exhibition Coordination:
- Assist with planning, preparation, and implementation of exhibitions in London and Naples.
- Source and order materials for installations.
- Provide support for artist liaison duties.
- Create 3D models for exhibitions in SketchUp.
- Hire AV equipment for exhibitions as needed.
- Track production expenses and manage budgets.
- Assist with publication projects and organizing events.
Production and Fabrication:
- Organize production and track budgets, ensuring costs are recorded in the gallery system.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers on production projects.
- Coordinate with artists and their studios on production, transport, and photography.
External Commissions:
- Assist the Artist Liaison team and artists with commission proposals.
Miscellaneous:
- Collaborate with team members to share tasks, enabling the gallery to deliver exhibitions and events on time.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and InDesign.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Knowledge of contemporary visual art.
Desirable Criteria:
- Higher education qualification in Visual Arts or Arts and Humanities.
- Proficiency in SketchUp.
Terms and Conditions
Employment Type: Full-Time Position
Hours: 10am – 6pm Monday – Friday; at least one additional Saturday per month plus flexibility during installation and art fairs
Annual Leave: 25 days holiday per annum, plus all public holidays
Remuneration: £TBC per annum (dependent on experience and knowledge)
Term: 12 months fixed-term contract as maternity cover
Probationary Period: 3 months
