Artistic Director

Kings Place is an arts centre in King’s Cross with an adventurous and critically-acclaimed programme of music and spoken word.  It’s home to an array of festivals which embrace a range of different communities, including its own London Podcast Festival and Luminate Festival, as well as collaborative events from Songlines Encounters to the EFG London Jazz Festival to the Jewish Literary Foundation’s Book Week. Kings Place collaborates with a family of regular partners and Artistic Associates, including resident ensemble Aurora Orchestra, Alan Bearman Music, The Sixteen, Poet in the City, The Guilty Feminist and Marsm, the organisation promoting musicians from South West Asia and North Africa. It is a place where many people connect with their passion and no one is lost in the crowd.

We are independently-funded and generate income through ticket sales, our development work, and the staging of world-class conferences and events.

Kings Place is a committed equal opportunities employer. We strive to provide our employees with a work environment free from discrimination where everyone can succeed and excel. We recognise that our organisation is enriched and strengthened by a diverse workforce and we welcome applications from everyone.

The Role

We are seeking an Artistic Director to lead on the strategy for the artistic programme, set the agenda for the Unwrapped series and manage the Programming team.
