Brisbane Festival, one of Australia’s leading multi-arts festivals, seeks an outstanding Artistic Director to shape the Festival’s next chapter in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Known for its bold, world-class programming and strong community engagement, the Festival offers a rare opportunity to lead a nationally significant role within the Australian arts landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver an ambitious and inclusive annual artistic program
Lead multi-genre programming with both global relevance and local impact
Collaborate with CEO Charlie Cush and the Board on strategic artistic direction
Achieve high-impact artistic, financial, audience, and community outcomes

Candidate Profile

Significant experience in artistic leadership across a range of genres
Strong knowledge of the Queensland, national, and international arts sectors
Proven ability to realise bold artistic visions and lead complex projects
Dynamic, strategic, and community-minded leadership style
