Since 1817, the Kunstverein in Hamburg has been dedicated to the presentation and communication of young, artistic positions of its time and serves as a platform for constructive discussion about new ways in art.
As a place of artistic production, exhibition making, art education and critical discourse, the association is committed to the artists who show us new perspectives on social issues. They are faced with the task of showing us the way out of the familiar, perhaps also formulating the way to another way of living together in order to develop a language, helps to overcome economic and political differences.
The Kunstverein in Hamburg presents an average of six changing exhibitions each year and has a varied supporting and evening program.
To strengthen our team at the Kunstverein in Hamburg, we are looking for. June 2023 full-time ( 39 hours / week ) one: n Assistant curator: in ( m / f / d ) with very good knowledge of German and English.
Your tasks include.:
• Responsibility for the implementation of exhibitions and projects, in cooperation with the management and project management
• Regular contact maintenance, among other things with artists, sponsors, members, the urban communities
• Research and text creation in the context of the exhibition
• Participation in the creation and management of financial plans, time and production plans
• Development of project funding applications
• Development of the annual membership program
• Conception of the exhibition framework programs
• Publication support
• Regular exhibition tours
