Salary: £25,970 per annum
Contract: 12-month fixed-term, full-time (35 hours/week)

The Design Museum is hiring two Assistant Curators to support the development and delivery of upcoming exhibitions, with a focus on inclusive and representative curatorial work. This role involves research, content development, object and loan management, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. Upcoming projects include exhibitions on practitioners from the global majority in fashion and design.

The Assistant Curators will collaborate closely with senior curators and play a hands-on role in content planning, image research, interpretation drafting, and administrative tasks. The museum strongly encourages applicants from the global majority to apply.

Candidate Requirements

Demonstrable curatorial or exhibition experience
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management and information organisation skills
Ability to manage deadlines and support multiple projects
