ACMI is seeking an Assistant Curator to join its Programming team, supporting the delivery of exhibitions and touring programs across screen culture, including cinema, video games, television, animation, video art, and digital culture. The role reports to the Head Curator.
Role Overview
- Conduct research to develop content for exhibitions and events.
- Coordinate proposals for evaluation and support exhibition delivery.
- Liaise with artists and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the curation of exhibitions using a variety of moving image technologies and presentation systems.
- Ensure accuracy in research, writing, and proofreading.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of moving image history and contemporary practice.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in exhibition curation and familiarity with moving image technologies.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
