Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean is seeking an Assistant Curator
to join its curatorial team for a fixed period of 2 years, working on exhibitions scheduled in
2022 and 2023. Collaborating with colleagues across the museum as well as working closely with artists and institutional partners, the Assistant Curator supports the work of the curators, playing a key role in the development and delivery of exhibitions and special projects. Working on projects of varying scale, they contribute to all stages of the exhibition-making process assisting the curators in the research, development, planning, coordination and implementation and accompanying projects from conception to evaluation.

Opened in 2006 in a purpose-built building designed by the renowned Sino-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei, Mudam is located in the Park Draï Eechelen overlooking the historic city of Luxembourg. Mudam’s mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of the most relevant art of our times for the largest possible public through its collection, temporary exhibitions, programmes, and partnerships.

Mudam seeks a graduate with a sound knowledge of twentieth century and contemporary art and experience of working in a museum or gallery. They will have hands-on experience of organising exhibitions, proven coordination and administrative skills and be an excellent communicator and team-player able to contribute to the work and activities of Mudam. Ability to work in French and English is essential.
