The Film programme is a key aspect of Tate Modern’s artistic programme and a vital part of the vision for the extended Tate Modern building due to be completed next year, which includes the Tanks, a permanent space for live performance and film.
This post offers an opportunity to join Tate at what is a very exciting time in the development of the film programme and the gallery as a whole. You will contribute and support the delivery of Tate’s film programme and related live events and projects as well as support the development of Tate’s collection of international art contributing to acquisitions of film, video and other time-based media art. With proven relevant experience, a degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, you will have knowledge of and interest in international twentieth century and contemporary art with a demonstrable knowledge of international film, video and other time-based media art.
As a member of the Curatorial team, your main responsibility will be to support the delivery of Tate’s film programme and related live events using your outstanding administrative and organisational skills to communicate effectively between departments ensuring projects are delivered successfully, on time and to budget.
As well as maintaining documentation and administration and being on hand to plan and manage loan requests and provide research for the programme, you will collaborate with a variety of colleagues and build and maintain effective external relations.
