Role Overview
Position: Assistant Exhibition Curator Grade 2
Type: Temporary, up to 4 years
Location: Powerhouse Parramatta
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Curator will work within an interdisciplinary team, providing curatorial and project support. Responsibilities include research, collection development, content creation, exhibition development, and administrative tasks across various curatorial disciplines within the Powerhouse Collection or Program Directorates.

The Powerhouse is undergoing a renewal process that aims to redefine its role as a 21st-century museum. This renewal focuses on engaging with communities, reflecting on its legacy as a museum of industry, and strengthening its cultural and economic impact in New South Wales, Australia, and globally. In 2024, the Powerhouse continues its renewal across five platforms: Powerhouse Parramatta, Powerhouse Ultimo, Powerhouse Castle Hill, Sydney Observatory, and Powerhouse Digital. These platforms provide new levels of access to the Powerhouse Collection, which includes over 500,000 objects.
