The Southbank Centre is seeking an Assistant Producer to join its Public Programming team, supporting the delivery of a wide range of participatory and public-facing arts projects. This full-time role focuses on coordinating project logistics, working closely with artists and internal teams, and contributing to the planning and production of events, workshops, and community-led programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project-by-project support as allocated by the Head of Public Programming.
- Coordinate project management tasks including meetings, planning with artists, follow-up actions, room bookings, travel, fees, financial processing, and drafting/issuing contracts.
- Manage and track project budgets, with support from Producers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess feasibility, share information, and ensure smooth handover to Event Management and Production teams.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with artists and facilitators, supporting them in the development of their work.

- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise across multiple projects.
- Confident communicator with tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrable interest in arts and culture, especially collaborative and participatory practices.
- Flexible and creative problem-solver, able to work calmly under pressure.
