About the Role
The Assistant Registrar will support the planning and coordination of art transportation, loans, and exhibition logistics for the 13th Berlin Biennale, curated by Zasha Colah. Responsibilities include maintaining work schedules, overseeing insurance registrations, managing exhibition setups, and communicating with various stakeholders such as artists, art handlers, and insurers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and coordination of national and international art transport.
- Support the management of loan traffic, including contracts and insurance.
- Maintain and update artwork lists and schedules.
- Participate in the execution and monitoring of exhibition installations and dismantling.
- Collaborate on courier arrangements and condition reports.
- Support administrative tasks and ensure effective communication with the artistic office.
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., museum studies, exhibition organization) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in exhibition management, particularly with international loans.
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with contemporary art and culture.
