The British Council is offering an exceptional opportunity for an early career curator to support the British Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia in 2026. The selected Shane Akeroyd Associate Curator will collaborate closely with the British Council team and artist Lubaina Himid CBE RA, who will represent the UK with a solo presentation.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application

Be available to commit fully from September 2025 to November 2026

Not work with any other National Participations or collateral exhibitions at the 2026 Venice Biennale
