
Biennial Assistant Coordinator

Reporting to the Biennial Coordinator, a temporary full-time Assistant Coordinator position for a twelve-month period working on the 2017 Biennial exhibition.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exhibition-related administrative support, including scheduling and budget management
- Coordinate with artists, galleries, and lenders; conduct research on artists in the exhibition and obtain bibliographic information, images, and reproduction permissions for the catalogue
- Compile information for the checklist, didactic materials, and website
- Assist with coordination of the installation, collaborating with curators, registrars, art handlers, building staff, and artists
- Support production of audio/visual or complex installation components
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Requirements:
- B.A. (art history or fine arts preferred);3–5 years related research and installation experience
- Excellent communication skills
- A collaborative spirit
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word for Windows and Excel
- Familiarity with TMS (The Museum System) a plus
- This individual must be organized, self-motivated, and flexible, with an ability to meet deadlines while handling several projects simultaneously.
