Art-o-rama, Marseille / France
August 27–29, 2021

It is with real optimism and confidence in the future that we are preparing the 2021 edition of Art-o-rama after a year marked by the Covid-19 pandemic and the cancellation of most events. The crisis we are currently experiencing forces us to reinvent formats and the way we interact with each other. It shows just how necessary exchange and collaboration are. With this in mind, we want to encourage joint projects and sharing of stands between foreign and French galleries.

In 2020, Art-o-rama replaced its physical edition by a virtual salon entitled “Salon Immatériel” (Immaterial Salon). This new platform dedicated to sound and text works becomes a fully fledged online section in 2021. We have also improved our website in order to facilitate communication between visitors and exhibitors and increase understanding of the works on show.

In addition to the Roger Pailhas prize for the boldest project, the 2021 edition of Art-o-rama will implement 4 more prizes: the Collezione Taurisano “Because of Many Suns” prize, the PÉBÉO prize for painting, the MÉDÉOS prize and the Doche de Laquintane prize. All these awards are committed to the acquisition of artworks.

The upcoming edition of Art-o-rama will take place at la Friche la Belle de Mai in Marseille, from August 27 to 29, 2021 and will be extended as an exhibition until September 12, 2021 to welcome a larger local audience.

We invite galleries and professional publishers to submit their applications for the next edition of Art-o-rama before March 15, 2021.

The selection will be made by our Artistic Board whom we wish to thank for the support and commitment that enabled us to get through 2020.

The Board members are: Emma Astner, Koppe Astner gallery, Glasgow, United Kingdom / Nerina Ciaccia, Ciaccia Levi gallery, Paris, France / Axel Dibie, Crèvecœur gallery, Paris & Marseille, France / Benoit Doche de Laquintane, collector, Bordeaux, France / Luigi Fassi, director of the MAN, Nuoro, Italy / Sébastien Peyret, collector, Marseille, France / Isabella Ritter, LambdaLambdaLambda gallery, Prishtina, Kosovo
