Stimulating Cultural Entrepreneurship
With a budget of approximately R24 million, the Creation Africa program aims to foster and support cultural entrepreneurship while strengthening the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) in South Africa, Lesotho, and Malawi.
Calling for Incubators
To ensure the success of Creation Africa, IFAS is seeking incubators (or consortiums of entities meeting the criteria) to support, mentor, and incubate selected cultural entrepreneurs. These incubators should guide them in their innovation and development journeys through a comprehensive incubation and coaching program.
Who Can Apply?
This call is open to incubators in South Africa, Lesotho, and Malawi with a proven track record of successfully guiding startups. Applicants should possess a deep understanding of the CCIs in Southern Africa and the unique challenges that cultural entrepreneurship presents. Consortiums or joint ventures combining the necessary expertise are encouraged to apply together.
Application Deadline
The call for incubators is active from 28 September 2023 to 18 October 2023. Please note that no applications will be accepted beyond this date.

When ready, email your complete proposal to hello@iqoqo.org and cc: projectofficer.faec@frenchinstitute.org.za. Only incubators that have registered first will be considered. Proposals must be received via email by midnight on 18 October 2023.
