Project Overview
The initiative, funded by Korea Funds-in-Trust (KFIT), seeks a contractor. The goal is to develop online training and pilot a creative digital incubation program. This project is part of the larger Creative Digital Lab initiative. It addresses digital skill shortages in the cultural and creative industries across developing countries.
Objectives
The project aims to map digital skill gaps and provide targeted training programs. It seeks to enhance digital competencies within the cultural sector. Additionally, it aims to promote awareness of the integration of digital technologies in culture and creativity. This effort will support policy recommendations and foster an environment where creative industries contribute innovative solutions to global challenges.
Assignment Scope
The selected contractor will:
- Replicate and Advocate: Use the success of the UNESCO-KFIT Digital Creative Lab’s Phase I project as a model. Focus on endangered animals in Thailand’s World Heritage Sites for XR development and advocacy.
- Partnership and Fundraising: Identify local crowdfunding partners. Organize campaigns to support endangered animal conservation.
- Innovative Exhibition: Plan and execute an exhibition using XR technology. Aim for at least 2,000 visitors to raise awareness about endangered animal conservation.
Deliverables and Timeframe
- March 15, 2024: Submit a project plan detailing the replication strategy, XR development, and advocacy content.
- March 31, 2024: Provide documentation of partnerships and a comprehensive crowdfunding campaign plan. Also, submit the exhibition plan, including venue, layout, and engagement strategies.
- April 15, 2024: Deliver final comprehensive reports on the exhibition. This includes media coverage, participant statistics, and an impact review.
Location
The duty station is Bangkok, Thailand. The role may require intra-provincial travel.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the digital creative sector.
- Familiarity with the UNESCO 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
- Legal registration and/or licensing for creative tech or digital-driven organizations.
- International experience and renowned digital projects, preferably in the Mekong cluster countries.
