Position Summary
The Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst seeks an experienced co-leader to oversee its exhibitions and drive institutional development. This role combines strategic vision, program management, and team leadership to enhance the museum’s standing as a hub for contemporary art.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the museum’s strategy and annual programming.
- Develop and oversee the planning, curation, and execution of exhibitions and projects.
- Supervise budget management, logistics, and administrative tasks related to exhibitions.
- Manage and inspire the exhibitions team, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to create innovative solutions for complex challenges.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Art, Cultural Studies, or a related field.
- Significant leadership experience in institutional art or museums.
- Proficiency in German and English (additional languages are a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of contemporary art and an established network in the international art scene.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complexity and adapt effectively.
