The Centre Pompidou is recruiting a Curator (M/F) for the National Museum of Modern Art – Industrial Creation Centre.
Within the Modern Collections Department, you will contribute to the enrichment, preservation, and promotion of the Centre Pompidou’s heritage collections. You will lead major exhibition projects, develop cultural partnerships in France and internationally, and actively participate in the scientific and artistic influence of the institution.
Your responsibilities:
- Define and implement the policy for enriching and preserving modern collections
- Design and curate exhibitions and cultural events in France and internationally
- Supervise projects related to hangings, publications, and loans of artworks
- Develop professional networks and partnerships with French and international cultural institutions
- Contribute to research, scientific expertise, and the dissemination of knowledge in the field of modern and contemporary art history
Desired profile:
- Excellent knowledge of modern and contemporary art history as well as museological issues
- Mastery of techniques for preserving, promoting, and disseminating heritage collections
- Proven experience in managing cultural projects and curating exhibitions
- Ability to develop national and international collaborations
- Very good command of English and office and specialized software
Required qualifications:
- Advanced degree in art history, heritage, museology, or a related field
- Significant experience in conservation, research, or cultural programming roles
- Proven experience in a high-level museum, heritage, or institutional environment
