De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) is seeking a Collection Management & Conservation Intern to join its Art Committee team. This opportunity offers hands-on experience working with one of the Netherlands’ leading corporate contemporary art collections while supporting collection care, exhibitions, public engagement, and artist relations.

The internship combines collection management responsibilities with visitor engagement activities in DNB’s public cultural space, De Nieuwe Schatkamer. Interns will work closely with the Registrar/Collection Manager, Curator, and Producer while gaining insight into the management of a major corporate art collection.

Internship Responsibilities

  • Support communications related to the art collection, including website, intranet, and online catalogue content.
  • Assist with licensing requests, loans, artwork movements, conservation activities, and collection management.
  • Help organise guided tours, public programmes, and art events.
  • Serve as a point of contact for artists, cultural institutions, and stakeholders.
  • Attend exhibition openings, art fairs, and cultural events.
  • Support collection inventory, documentation, and acquisition processes.
  • Assist with exhibition production related to collection management and conservation.
  • Spend part of the internship engaging with visitors and overseeing artwork safety within De Nieuwe Schatkamer.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Current Bachelor’s or Master’s student.
  • Strong interest in contemporary art and corporate art collections.
  • Interest in collection management, registration, and conservation.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and organised approach to work.
  • Available for 4–6 months from September 2026 (or earlier).
