The Frans Hals Museum is the art museum of the city of Haarlem. At two beautiful, historic locations in the center of Haarlem, we show the largest collection of works by Frans Hals, in addition to old, modern and contemporary art. The Frans Hals Museum is therefore a museum with an international reputation, a rural appearance and a local anchorage.

Collection Management Coordinator
24 to 32 hours a week
As a collection management coordinator, you are part of the Collections & Presentations department and coordinate and plan management tasks in the field of collection management and collection safety. You contribute to policy in this area with the aim of optimal collection management.
An important project is planned in the coming years: the realization of a new Haarlem collection center / depot. As a collection management coordinator you play an important role in this.
What are you going to do?
- You draw up sub-policy plans, procedures and guidelines in the field of collection management and collection safety.
- You plan and coordinate activities, execution order, division of tasks and progress.
- You agree with those involved in your own team and other departments.
- You prepare reports, evaluate performance and set up improvement processes.
- You are a member of the internal project team new collection center and involved in the multi-year preparation, layout and commissioning of the new depot.
- You follow developments in the field and make proposals for adjustments.
- You manage the budget for collection management.
Who are you?
- You are an enthusiastic and enthusiastic employee at HBO level. You have 3-5 years of experience with collection management in a museum institution and have performed coordinating tasks.
- You are good at planning and organizing, you can draw up, implement and evaluate plans and procedures.
- You have experience in project-based work.
- You are result-oriented and communicate proactively.
- You are a team player with a hands-on mentality.
We offer:
- An independent and challenging position in a dynamic museum with nice colleagues.
- Salary between € 3,187.00 and € 4,141.00 gross for a 36-hour working week ( salary level 1-7-2023 museum CAO ).
- A temporary employment contract for one year with a view to permanent employment.
