Collection Registrar (permanent contract)

Mudam Luxembourg − Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean is looking for a Collection Registrar to join its collection team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Curator, Head of the Collection, the post holder will work in close collaboration with the Collection Manager and the other departments of the museum, as well as with various partners: artists, galleries, collectors, restorers, external curators and institutional partners. The Collection Registrar plays a key role in the storage, documentation, conservation and presentation of the artworks and other objects held in Mudam’s collection.

Opened in 2006 in a purpose-built building designed by the renowned Sino-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei, Mudam is located in the Park Draï Eechelen overlooking the historic city of Luxembourg. Mudam’s mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of the most relevant art of our times for the largest possible public through its collection, temporary exhibitions, programmes, and partnerships.

Mudam is looking for a person with expertise in museum collections. They will be experienced in documenting and preserving a collection and have proven knowledge of conservation and exhibition issues. The candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will be a team player ready to contribute to the missions and activities of Mudam.

An ability to work in French and English is essential. A knowledge of German or Luxembourgish is an advantage. Mudam Luxembourg is looking for talented people from all backgrounds and wants to foster diversity within its team.
