The Studio Museum in Harlem invites applications for its Fall 2025 Collections Internship. This paid position offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain experience in museum registration and collections management within an institution dedicated to artists of African descent and Black culture.
Internship Format

Duration: 14 weeks (15 September – 19 December 2025)

Weekly commitment: 21 hours/week (minimum 3 days on-site, including Tuesdays)

Eligibility Criteria

Open to undergraduate and graduate students, or recent graduates

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Background in museum studies or related fields

Detail-oriented, with research skills and familiarity with databases

Comfortable working independently and in collections storage environments
Key Responsibilities

Assist with collections and exhibition management tasks

Support the registrar, database manager, and archivist

Conduct research and administrative tasks

Review collection files and assist with collection stewardship
