Salary: £28,000 p.a. + 12.5% pension contribution and other benefits
Full Time: 35 hours per week
The Collections Researcher will support the Senior Curator of Collections & Research with the Foundation’s research activities. This includes researching artworks for the catalogue raisonné, handling research and review enquiries, supporting scholarly events, contributing content to digital platforms, and assisting with archive visits. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a leading arts organization, focused on modern sculpture and the legacy of Henry Moore.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with research for exhibitions, conferences, and other public events.
- Oversee artwork research and enquiries related to Henry Moore.
- Update artwork records on collections databases and the online catalogue raisonné.
- Contribute to publications and digital content.
- Provide research support to the Archive and assist with the Oral History programme.
- Lead talks for public programmes at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens.
Key Qualifications
- Degree in an arts or museum-related field (preferably History of Art).
- At least one year’s experience in a research environment.
- Strong interest in modern sculpture and Henry Moore’s work.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and project management skills.
- Experience with collections databases (preferred but not required).
- Ability to communicate effectively, both face-to-face and through public speaking.
