As soon as possible, Fluentum is looking for an employee with a focus on communication / placement, who complements the team in mediation and communication-related activities and is committed to ongoing projects and the design of the annual program.
As a non-profit, privately run exhibition house, Fluentum is dedicated to exhibiting, producing and collecting contemporary art with a special focus on the time-based media of film and video. Since its foundation in 2019, the exhibition rooms have been located in the listed main building of a former military facility in Berlin-Dahlem.
Your tasks:
Communication:
– Participation in the conception and implementation of communication strategies for exhibitions and projects
– Content management and editorial management for text and images for the Fluentum website as well as support for digital external representations in social media and online listings
– Conception and further development of social media narratives, especially Instagram
– Interface to the press line ( Coordination of appointments, schedules, text and image materials )
– Editing of technical texts such as Catalog texts, press releases, newsletter and website articles, statements
– Editing and production support of graphic means of communication ( Invitations, posters, advertisements etc. )
– Support and maintenance of the internal contact database
Mediation
– Conception and implementation of placement offers on site ( Guided tours, workshops ) and online ( Social Media, website ) based on the exhibition content
– Independent organization, support and implementation of local cooperation projects and events
General
– Support and cooperation in everyday administrative tasks
– Support in exhibition-related matters
Your profile:
– Work experience in art institutions, galleries or other art-related contexts
sound knowledge of contemporary art, art education as well as press and public relations
– Experience with and talent for text work
very good communication and team skills, high independence and the willingness to take on diverse and different tasks
– very good expressiveness in spoken and written in German and English
– Safe handling of Microsoft Windows, Office as well as application knowledge of common image processing programs ( Adobe Photoshop, InDesign ) and the support of websites
– Interest in close cooperation in a small, hierarchical team
– Willingness to work on weekends
