Call for Independent Creative Teams from the Arab World and the Middle East
The Fanak Fund is excited to announce the launch of a call for applications for structural support through the ZODEH program.
Application Details
If you represent an independent artistic or cultural organization with at least 2 years of operation, we invite you to approach the Fanak Fund to fortify your project. Results will be released on December 1, 2023, with a submission deadline of November 9, 2023.

How to Apply to the Consolidation Fund

- Carefully review the funding guidelines and eligibility criteria to ensure you meet the requirements.
- Access the Application
- Click on the “Apply for a grant” link. Note that applications are not accepted between calls.
- Complete the Application
- Thoroughly fill out the application form in French, English, or Arabic. Be concise and clear to enhance your chances of success. Information provided will influence the evaluation of your application. Remember, Fanak Fund covers eligible costs as per the eligibility criteria.
- Include details about your professional background, project, expenses, and objectives.
- Only one request can be made per call.
- Ensure your cost estimates are plausible.
- Submit the required supplementary documents via email to fondain.claire@gmail.com, including an obligatory expenditure statement and possible pro forma invoices.
- Provide a designated email address to receive the application results.

Eligibility Criteria for the Consolidation Fund
This program focuses on strengthening cultural and artistic organizations, as well as artists’ collectives in the Arab-speaking and Middle Eastern region, encompassing Turkey and Persian-speaking countries. It aims to develop local projects, including venues, networks, and platforms.
To be eligible for the Consolidation Fund, you must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant Type:
- Applications can be submitted on behalf of cultural or artistic organizations or artist collectives with a minimum of 2 years of operation. Small or medium organizations with an annual budget below €20,000 are eligible. Public or semi-public organizations are not eligible.
- Geographic Requirement:
- Applicants (organizations, collectives, managers) must be based in the Arab Middle East geographic region, including Turkey and Persian-speaking countries.
- Age and Nationality:
- Age and nationality are not factors in eligibility for this fund.
- Eligible Disciplines:
- Organizations and collectives focused on contemporary artistic disciplines are eligible, including performing arts, visual arts, literature, music, architecture, design, fashion, crafts, and cultural policy research. Humanitarian aid or school/university projects are not eligible.
- Long-Term Impact and Sustainability:
- Applicants must articulate how their organization will contribute to local cultural development and the empowerment of communities in the long term. Sustainability involves actions that enable the organization or its activities to endure, such as investing in human resources, acquiring equipment, renovating spaces, or covering operational costs. Notably, a consolidation grant does not cover production costs of artistic works.
