The Rijksmuseum reaches millions of art lovers around the world online. We bring our collection to the attention of the largest possible audience through our website and social media channels. By choosing refreshing angles and by looking for the edge. Are you good at coming up with creative social media brackets and can you translate them into #content that everyone wants to see? Then we are looking for you.
The Marketing department of the Rijksmuseum is looking for a Content Creative (M/F/X) for 36 hours a week
As a Content Creative you are our creative brain. You are a storyteller who knows how to convert our story of 800 years of art and history into beautiful content for a wide audience. And with your edgy ideas you know how we can bind a new and young audience to us. You know what works and what doesn’t. If we send you into the museum with a camera, you will come out with a striking visual or fresh video . No day is the same. But in general, these are your main tasks:
- coming up with creative (video) content that is in line with the content strategy of the Rijksmuseum;
- creating and editing visual material;
- writing short copy;
- web editor.
Working at the Rijksmuseum
In your role you are part of the Digital & Marketing & Campaigns sub-department. The department develops campaigns for the museum, exhibitions, various public groups and partners. In addition, the department is involved in the management and development of the website, apps and newsletters. The team directs the online storytelling of the Rijksmuseum and as a content creative you play an indispensable role in this.
What are you bringing?
We are curious about who you are and what talent you add to our team. You are a true storyteller and dare to push the boundaries. You don’t hesitate to enter the museum with a camera, sometimes even after closing time, or to implement your idea in a different way. You have flair, guts and:
- a relevant MBO/HBO background;
- experience with Photoshop and editing tools;
- knowledge of – or experience with CMS systems;
- a good command of the Dutch language.
What do you get in return?
- a gross monthly salary of € 3,087 to € 4,041 per month based on 36 hours (scale 9 of the museum collective labor agreement);
- 8% holiday allowance and 3.4% year-end bonus;
- a contract for 1 year, with possible extension;
- the freedom to alternate working from home and working at the office in consultation, including a budget to set up your home workplace as desired;
- a full public transport travel allowance from 5 km (up to a maximum of € 345). The costs you incur when you park your bicycle at the station in a guarded bicycle shed are also fully reimbursed;
- after your probationary period you will receive a museum card with unlimited access to 450 museums in the Netherlands. You are always welcome in the Rijksmuseum (during opening hours) with 1 free guest;
- participation in various events and sports activities, such as Rijkshockey and the Rijksrun.
