The function
- In close collaboration with the Director, you give substance to the communication and education of the museum and you take care of the implementation.
- You are responsible for the museum’s internal and external, offline and online communication such as exhibitions, activities, education via the website, social media channels and the newsletter.
- You create and monitor the content strategy, social media planning and implement it with attractive content on our various channels.
- You prepare press releases and maintain contacts with the press at home and abroad.
- You set up and supervise printed matter assignments, promotional campaigns and marketing campaigns.
- You are a representative at communication and education meetings.
- You create a project and annual budget and write and execute a communication or marketing plan for fund applications or projects.
- You make and / or supervise the production of educational museum programs and encourage participation in the museum lessons.
- Where necessary, you replace colleagues during breaks, illness and holidays and assist with events within and outside office hours.
Your profile
- You have a relevant education at a minimum Hbo level ( Communication, Education or a related field ) and at least two years of experience in a comparable position.
- You are a good, fast writer and know how to take the right tone to reach different target groups.
- You have a lot of experience with online communication.
- You like it and have experience in content creation for various social media channels.
- You have good communication skills, are practical, flexible and you can switch quickly.
- You are stress resistant, accurate and used to drawing up and monitoring budgets.
- You have a good organizational capacity and are creative, have an eye for detail but do not lose sight of the main line.
- You are a team player who can work independently.
- You have an affinity with Japanese art and culture.
- Museum experience is an advantage.
- You speak and write fluent Dutch and your English is very good.
- You live in Leiden or the surrounding area.
We offer
- A 32-hour working week ( based on 36 hours, full-time ) from Tuesday to Friday.
- A salary in scale 7 of the Museum Cao. Minimum € 2,774 and maximum € 3,448 gross per month depending on knowledge and experience, excluding 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 3.4% and an excellent pension scheme.
- A one-year employment contract with the intention of renewal.
