MASP is seeking a Coordinator of Conservation and Restoration responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating preventive conservation and restoration of the museum’s collection. The role includes diagnostics, risk management, conservation guidelines, restoration projects with national and international partners, supervision of works in transit, and team management.

Team leadership and management of conservation processes and staff

Development and supervision of conservation/restoration policies, risk management, and preventive measures
Eligibility Criteria
-
Master’s or PhD in Conservation and Restoration of movable cultural heritage, specialized in European painting restoration

Proven experience in conservation and restoration, preferably in museums, with publications or academic work

Advanced knowledge in preventive conservation, scientific analyses, European painting, technical art history, project management, and international conservation standards

Experience in team and process management

Languages: Fluent English; intermediate Portuguese; other languages desirable

Advanced Office skills
