Artslab is a pioneering professional development and career guidance program designed for creatives who are registered with Work and Income and receive the Job-Seekers benefit. Formerly known as PACE (Pathways to Arts and Cultural Employment), Artslab is New Zealand’s longest-running creative employment service.
We empower creatives to build sustainable careers, enhance resilience, and foster agility in a supportive and enjoyable environment. Our program includes workshops, mentoring, and career coaching to help individuals reach their full potential.
Your Role
As an ArtsLab Creative Employment Consultant, you’ll become an integral part of our small, collaborative, and high-energy team. Your responsibilities will include:
Career Development
- Assisting creatives in developing effective job-seeking strategies.
- Supporting recent graduates in crafting their first CVs.
- Helping long-term unemployed individuals explore suitable employment options.
Workshops and Events
- Developing and facilitating engaging and collaborative workshops and events.
- Organizing mentoring sessions with industry experts to provide valuable guidance to our clients.
Diverse Clientele
- Serving a diverse clientele spanning from 18 to 65 years old, with backgrounds ranging from IT to Fine Arts.
Your Profile
Reporting to the Artslab Programme Manager, you should possess:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Experience in leading and engaging groups of adults while supporting individual development.
- An interest in creative industries or a background in education, coaching, or recruitment.
