Job Description
We are seeking a Creative Industries Officer to support our work as the national development agency for Scotland’s arts, screen, and creative industries. This role will focus on the design sector, providing support for design as both a creative business activity and an art form. The successful candidate will undertake development work, assess and make recommendations on a range of funding applications, and act as the lead contact for several organizations across Scotland. Additionally, they will contribute to and support the delivery of the strategies for both art and the creative industries.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Creative Industries Officer – Design include:
- Supporting the development of the arts, screen, and creative industries in Scotland
- Assessing and making recommendations on a range of funding applications
- Acting as the lead contact for several organizations across Scotland
- Contributing to and supporting the delivery of strategies for both art and the creative industries
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A successful track record of project management
- Excellent knowledge of the arts and creative industries across Scotland
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the design sector, both as a creative business and art form in the UK and in particular, Scotland
- The ability to carry out detailed assessments of applications and proposals, and experience of producing clear reports and recommendations
- The ability to make connections and identify opportunities from the sector to strengthen and sustain creative practitioners and businesses
- Strong interpersonal skills
Experience of managing evaluation and monitoring processes is desirable, but not essential.

Additional Information
This is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months Full-Time, 36 hours per week Grade C with a salary of £31,150 per annum. Our offices are currently located in Glasgow and Edinburgh, but there are opportunities to discuss remote working options.
