About the Role
Venture Arts seeks a Cultural Enrichment Programme Coordinator to deliver its groundbreaking initiative supporting learning-disabled and neurodivergent artists. This program offers bespoke work placements in cultural organizations, aiming to empower participants, enrich cultural spaces, and prepare venues to employ learning-disabled people in the long term.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Delivery:
- Plan and deliver structured work placements for learning-disabled adults and young people.
- Ensure projects meet high standards of safeguarding, health, and safety.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with museums, galleries, and cultural organizations.
- Support individuals transitioning to further opportunities in cultural organizations, including volunteer or paid roles.
Evaluation and Reporting:
- Record and track individual progress throughout placements.
- Collect feedback from participants and partners for reports and funding applications.
- Assist in drafting funding proposals and reports for the Senior Management Team.
Organizational Support:
- Represent Venture Arts at external events and advocate for the organization’s artists and mission.
- Promote equality, diversity, and environmental sustainability within the organization.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- At least 1 year of experience in project planning and delivery.
- Passion for the arts, with experience working with learning-disabled individuals.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills tailored to different audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Desirable:
- Car owner with a clean driving license.
- Familiarity with Adobe applications (Photoshop and/or InDesign).
