Introduction: The Goethe-Institut Brussels seeks a full-time (38 hours/week) Grant Officer (M/F/D) for the EU-funded “Culture Moves Europe” project, with a contract running until June 30th, 2025.

Role Overview: From 2022 to 2025, we are implementing the Culture Moves Europe project, fully funded by the European Union. This project, Europe’s largest cultural mobility initiative, aims to grant mobility to 7,000 artists and cultural professionals across 40 Creative Europe countries by 2025.
Your Contribution: Join us in this exciting endeavor to promote the internationalization of Europe’s creative and cultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Liaison and Assessment:
- Address applicant and grantee queries through email and the Goethe-Application portal.
- Assess application eligibility, communicate with evaluators, and manage related tasks.
2. Grant Management:
- Prepare grant agreements and amendments for beneficiaries.
- Track mobility status and regularly update internal records with changes.
- Review and validate activity/residency reports submitted by project beneficiaries.
3. Event Support:
- Assist in organizing online info-sessions and other events.
- Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation officer and the Deputy Project Manager in compiling data.
- Contribute to developing internal guidelines in coordination with the grant team and the compliance officer.
- Participate in defining processes to enhance the mobility scheme, working closely with the project team.
4. Other Tasks (10%):
- Depending on project needs, you may contribute to other teams such as communication, monitoring, and evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Interest in grant management and cultural/creative sectors in Europe.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and adept at prioritizing tasks.
- Positive, problem-solving mindset.
- Proficient in written and spoken English (C1); knowledge of German or other languages is advantageous.
- Familiarity with results-oriented project management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team.
- Good IT skills, especially in MS Office applications.
