A/W 15 Curation Residency

the object of this residency is to create an opportunity for anyone working in a creative field to challenge their practice through the concerns of curation. We hope that by using curation as a framework it may allow the participant to explore and further their practice using curation as a vehicle, a means of translating concerns into physicality. we encourage experimental and focused approaches to the residency, so be adventurous, be critical and discursive in what the possibilities are and explore the malleability of the definition of curation.A / W is an opportunity for people with and without curatorial experience to use the residency as a space to experiment, to approach curation as a practice and to research throughout the course of the residency.

the residency runs over a six month period consisting of at least 3 opportunities for the selected curator to organise projects, exhibitions or events- each with a 2 month interval to prepare. the projects and realisations of the curator will be supported by 12ø and housed in the 12ø project space.
