About the Organization
The DZ BANK Art Foundation’s mission is to make the works from the DZ BANK collection accessible to the public through exhibitions and events. The collection includes over 10,000 photographic artworks from 1,100 international artists and is one of the largest corporate art collections of its kind. The foundation organizes three changing exhibitions annually, addressing socially relevant topics. In collaboration with universities, research institutions, and other cultural organizations, the foundation integrates current discourses into its work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Co-develop and conceptualize the exhibition program and scientific conferences alongside the artistic director.
- Conceptualize, edit, and implement all print media, particularly exhibition catalogs.
- Lead exhibition projects and events in close collaboration with the team, including exhibitions with guest curators.
- Develop, organize, and carry out accompanying programs for the exhibitions (e.g., tours, artist talks, panel discussions) in collaboration with the education department and artistic director.
- Lead the foundation’s fellowship program.
- Manage the budget for all exhibitions, events, and publications.
- Teach in cooperation with academic institutions as part of the foundation’s university collaborations.
- Oversee networks and collaborations, mainly in the Rhine-Main region.
Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field such as Art History, Museum Management, or related cultural studies.
- Professional experience in exhibition conception and management.
- Interest in interdisciplinary collaborations with other institutions.
- Sensitivity to artistically and socially relevant topics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, independent, and team-oriented work ethic.
- Social, communicative, and intercultural competence, creativity, and resilience.
- Excellent proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
Compensation
Salary according to salary group 13 TV-H, depending on qualifications.
