Whitechapel Gallery is seeking a Curator to help shape a new phase under Director Gilane Tawadros. The role involves developing and managing exhibitions and publications, collaborating with internal teams and guest curators, and contributing to a bold and socially engaged programme that foregrounds underrepresented voices, particularly women and people of colour.
The Curator will manage assigned exhibition budgets and schedules, engage in contemporary curatorial discourse, and represent the Gallery in public and professional contexts.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong curatorial experience and understanding of contemporary artistic practice
- Track record of organising exhibitions and publications
- Budget management and coordination skills
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the Gallery’s mission
