About the Baur Foundation
The Baur Foundation, Museum of Far Eastern Art, is dedicated to the study, preservation, and presentation of the arts and cultures of the Far East, with a primary focus on Japan.
Role Description
The Curator will be responsible for managing and developing the museum’s collections, exhibitions, and related research. The role involves curatorial expertise, scholarly research, and exhibition organization to support the museum’s mission.
Candidate Profile
Applicants must demonstrate:
- An academic qualification with thorough knowledge of the art and cultures of the Far East, particularly Japan.
- Proven professional experience in museum curatorship.
- Experience in preparing and organizing exhibitions.
- Excellent command of French (working language of the museum).
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
- Good working knowledge of Japanese (desirable).
