ACMI, the museum of screen culture, seeks a Curator to join its Programming team. The role involves delivering a diverse program of home-grown and international exhibitions that explore the people, process, and craft of screen culture, creating engaging, visitor-focused experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver major exhibitions combining original objects, interactivity, art, and media.

• Craft compelling narratives drawing on loans and licensed material from diverse collections.

• Liaise with national and international stakeholders to manage loans, budgets, and timelines.

Eligibility Criteria

• Proven curatorial experience in moving image and screen culture.

• In-depth knowledge of the history of the moving image and screen media.

• Strong research, writing, proofreading, and communication skills.

• Established professional networks across museums and film sectors.

• Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid work permit/visa.
