Compton Verney is an outstanding cultural venue where diverse audiences engage with art, culture and nature, promoting engagement through creativity, wellbeing, learning and participation through activities and events. Building on its national reputation, Compton Verney wants to expand the public offer across the whole site and beyond. We are looking for someone to manage, enable, facilitate, develop, instigate, advocate and be an ambassador for the benefit of the organisation. Working with the wider team to promote, explore and deliver content related to science and the natural environment, across the site, as part of the overall holistic programme for diverse audiences. This is a new role and will require a self-starter who can support the development of a vision for Compton Verney’s scientific and environmental projects, content and major developments, as well as:
- Producing and delivering content across the site, in galleries, the grounds and digitally which engages with diverse audiences and promotes science and environmental initiatives, perspectives, learning opportunities and digital content.
- Working with the wider team to support a series of performances, events and activities which draw on the creative intent of the organisation, the natural environment and the interests and needs of audiences
- Building partnerships and relationships with the scientific sector, environmental and natural environment organisations, experts and innovators to grow the recognition and profile of Compton Verney’s scientific and environmental offer and attract diverse audiences.
- Seek funding opportunities to support activity and the fundraising team in submitting bids and monitoring funds.
- Ensuring that learning and diversity are at the centre of each initiative, and the engagement strategy is adhered to, and connected to the overall performance indicators of the organisation
- Ability to work directly with the grounds team, in devising and implementing specific initiatives in the grounds as part of the visitor experience
- Pioneer new initiatives that are deliverable, can test new ways of working and can be evaluated as part of overall organisational learning.
